2011 Adriane Pinot noir
Named after Victoria’s daughter and Colene’s granddaughter, Adriane is an estate cuvée composed of specifically selected barrels that possess deep, concentrated flavors and a persistent finish. Hand harvested from two blocks of our estate between October 26th—30th, the 2011 vintage is a nearly equal blend of Dijon 667 and 115. The fruit is 100% de-stemmed into small stainless steel tanks and begins with a 4-5 day cold soak. Following this, tanks are gently warmed, and fermentation by indigenous yeast begins and proceeds for 10-14 days. During primary fermentation, the tanks are gently punched down by hand twice daily. Once fermentation is complete, the wine is pressed directly to barrel and aged on its lees for 11 months in French oak—37% new; 47% 1-year old; 16% 2-year old—after which the wine is then blended and bottled. 714 cases produced.
Named for Colene's graddaughter, the 2011 Adriane Pinot noir was sourced from 2 different blocks in the vineyard, bringing together roughly equal amounts of Dijon 667 & 115. Now elegant and well integrated, this wine is impressively smooth and approachable.
